Bathtub sex!

How to have bathtub sex:

Making sure you have enough room in the tub for 2 adults is a good start. If you have a tiny tub then it’s a nonstarter. What you see in films isn’t like everyday life. Some people are just not that blessed, but if you do have a big tub, or are booked into a hotel with one then great! Here are some tips on how to have bathtub sex. Having a bath can be relaxing and extremely pleasurable just on its own, but when sex is added, that pleasure becomes twice the fun.

Set the scene:

Make sure the temperature of the water is just right. Lower the lighting, add some candles, and put on some sexy tunes in the background. Don’t forget warm towels at the ready to dry off once the fun is over. Add some scented bubbles to the water, and maybe have a bottle of wine with 2 glasses on the side, if you’re in the mood. Don’t forget to have some lube at the ready as natural lubrication dries up pretty quickly in the hot water, and maybe keep a sex toy on hand just in case you want to spice things up a little more.

Finding the right temperature:

Not too hot, not too cold. Maybe start with the water a little hotter than you would usually have it, as you will be in the bath longer than normal, and by the time you are in full motion, it will probably be the perfect temperature.

The right level:

Remember there will be 2 of you in the bath, so don’t overfill as when you get moving there will be a certain amount of overspill with all the sliding and splashing going on. If necessary you can always top up if and when needed.

Getting the right position:

Sharing a bath can be difficult at the best of times, so here are some positions that might be good for bathtub sex. And If you find it slightly uncomfortable for either of you, then invest in a bath pillow or even use a towel, if you don’t mind the laundry.

1: Your partner lying back whilst you face the other way and straddle him in reverse cowgirl style,

2: Regular cowgirl style with your partner facing you whilst you sit upon him with your legs on either side wrapped around his body.

3: The other position that you can try is “doggy style” over the bath, with you leaning over the bath on your knees with him behind you. You will be closer than the normal “doggy style“, but nothing wrong with that. With this position, you can spice things up with a sex toy to stimulate the clitoris, as well as being penetrated from behind, adding to the fun and heightening the orgasm.

Keep lube on hand:

As weird as it may sound water can dry you out, so it’s a good idea to make sure you have lube at the ready for any type of sexual penetration, be it fingers, penis, or sex toys. Water-based lubes are not a good idea as they rinse away with the water, so the best type is a silicone-based lube. Silicone lube can also be used as a massage oil, so great for both things in bathtub sex play!

Adding bubbles:

Adding bubbles can make things seem more fun, and choosing a bubble bath with a yummy scent always gets you in the mood. If you don’t have a bubble bath then body wash will do the trick!

Scrub down after sex:

After all the fun in the bath, it’s nice just to use the bubbles to wash each other down with a gentle massage here and there. This part is very intimate, and romantic, and makes you feel very close to each other. Make sure you have nice clean warm towels at the ready, as the bath water will have cooled down a lot towards the end.
